Scarlett Johansson is an American actress and singer. She was born in New york city New York on the 22nd of November the 22nd of November, 1984. Her performance has won the attention of a broad range of genres including time-based dramas, thrillers, and action films. Johansson was the daughter of an architect as well as a producer, was born on the streets of New York City. She was the twin sister of Hunter and her brother Hunter were the youngest siblings. When she was a child, she developed an interest for acting and began auditioning commercials around the age of seven. In order to improve her acting skills, she attended classes at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan as well as she attended the Professional Children's School. In Off-Broadway's play Sophistry she appeared with Ethan Hawke at age 8, and in North produced by Rob Reiner in 1994 she made her debut in film. Johansson then appeared on screen in Just Cause, but she gained recognition with Manny & Lo, a film that follows orphaned siblings as they run away. Her next film won critical appreciation for her portrayal of a teenager who has suffered a horrific accident within The Horse Whisperer (1998) and gained more attention in the role of a cynical teenager Rebecca as Rebecca in Ghost World (2001). Similar to many actors starting out she decided to hone her craft in the world of theatre. As she was making her stage debut with Wildflower she was also working in various projects throughout the USA. She studied in Stonestreet Studios, the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
